 ARI PASHALIS

Appreciation of fashion, film, architecture and photography of the 1960s and 1970s comes across in his photographs, all of which call to mind the romance of eras gone by.
Pashalis prefers film to digital as it creates “perfect imperfections that digital just can’t replicate.”

JORDAN ABRAM

Jordan’s current series titled Allora is shot under the Italian sun in the heat of summer 2018, captures the laidback lifestyle and the effortlessly cool and sun kissed, along the coast of Italy.
His series was photographed entirely on film, hand developed and treated with love, just like the Italians treat the spiaggia.

THE EXHIBITION

Summer represents the best of what might be.
Clare Gallery’s inaugural Summer Series harnesses the optimism of the season.

The Exhibition was hosted on the the 1st of October at Clare Gallery, the boutique art gallery and concept store in Double Bay. Five talented, Sydney based photographers came together to showcase their work - reminiscent of a far off destination once travelled.

Guests were transported from one idyllic locale to another – from the Spanish Isle of Mallorca, to the Dolomite Mountain Range of Italy – not to mention the myriad of other places we’d all quite like to be. Guests were invited to indulge in some well-deserved libidinous escapism and get swept away in azure seas and skies, in beautiful bodies of water and women.

Tropicool worked alongside these talented photographers in showcasing The Summer Series - Exhibition #1 - styling the venue, running a publicity campaign, securing a sponsor and inviting high-tier media VIPs along to the opening night.

We approached Lillet - the aperitif label crafted in the South of France, to join us for the opening night. To enhance the ‘summer on a European coast’ experience, Lillet set up a Spritz cart at the gallery where guests were handing refreshing drinks to sip on while they dreamt of a travelling once again.
